Professional Education for Credit Union Volunteer Leaders & Staff

The CCUP program was created to support the people who help guide and govern credit unions — volunteer board members, committee members, and emerging leaders & staff. This structured certification program builds essential knowledge in governance, financial oversight, risk awareness, and strategic leadership.

Credit union volunteers & staff play a critical role in ensuring safety, soundness, and member-focused decision-making. CCUP provides practical, relevant education that helps leaders:

Eligibility

Participation is limited to volunteers and staff from NCOFCU member credit unions, ensuring the program is mission-focused and tailored to the credit union community.

How the Program Works

Participants complete:

✔ A set of Required Core Courses covering governance, finance, risk, and regulation
✔ A selection of Elective Courses tailored to their role and interests
✔ Attend 2 NCOFCU Conferences in 36 mo.

The program is designed to be flexible and manageable for busy professionals, with a clear timeline and achievable milestones.

Certification Levels

CCUP offers multiple levels of recognition, allowing participants to continue growing as leaders and contributors within the credit union movement.
